Вопрос навеян постом tacente.

Спрашивается, почему YouTube требует грузить ему видео в разрешении 320x200, а потом показывает его в немножко большем разрешении? В ихнем плеере, если присмотреться, даже есть специальная кнопочка, если нажать на которую, то видео становится меньше размером (как загружено) и качественнее. Просто так проявление иррациональности, или для минимизации налогов?

Возможно, они генерят видео "на лету", добавляя немного Рэндома, чтобы сложнее было с3.14здить качественный оригинал?
