Today, Wal-Mart continues to take advantage of weak US labor laws and inadequate labor law enforcement that fall far short of international standards. Wal-Mart’s sophisticated tactics to keep unions out of its stores have prevented Wal-Mart workers from freely choosing whether to organize, in violation of their internationally-protected right to freedom of association.
