Bloomberg Top News -- Clinton, during a day of meetings in Jerusalem on her first Middle East visit since taking office, said today that Israel and the U.S. share a “common commitment” to promoting Palestinian statehood.

Clinton aims to reassure Israeli leaders of the Obama administration’s commitment to their country’s security as the U.S. discusses ways to engage Israel’s foes in Iran and presses for renewed Middle East peace efforts.
