birdwatcherBoston, MA -- School will be cancelled on Friday as the teachers plan to picket outside of Quincy's 19 public schools.
State law prohibits teachers from going on strike.
According to Mayor William Phelan, the city plans to take the issue to court in order to get the teachers back into the classroom.
The teachers union however says that they are prepared to be civilly disobedient.
