Feb. 21st, 2006 10:24 amAccording to prosecutors, Terrance Hawkins, 44, ran companies known as "Royal Stages Travel Group" and "Royal Travel." He allegedly claimed to offer tickets to "The Oprah Winfrey Show" and a bus ride to Chicago, where the program is taped.
"We will aggressively pursue a vigorous prosecution so that this suspect might be held accountable for the hardship and economic loss of scores of people, especially because many of them could be your sister, your mother or grandmother," Ivey said in a press release.
