NEW YORK (Reuters) - Tough-guy actor and martial arts expert Chuck Norris sued publisher Penguin on Friday over a book he claims unfairly exploits his famous name, based on a satirical Internet list of "mythical facts" about him.

Some of the 'facts' in the book are racist, lewd or portray Mr. Norris as engaged in illegal activities," the lawsuit alleges. "Defendants have misappropriated and exploited Mr. Norris's name and likeness without authorization for their own commercial profit," said the lawsuit.

Norris, whose real name is Carlos Ray Norris, claims in the suit he is protective of what his name is associated with. He has recently made U.S. headlines for backing Republican presidential candidate former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee.

TORONTO - Motorists who take a provincially approved drivers' education course get into more crashes, and hundreds of driving instructors are collecting demerit points for common violations like speeding and disobeying traffic signs, Ontario's auditor general found in his annual report released Tuesday.

Even though there are fewer drivers graduating from training courses, Auditor Jim McCarter said they are 62 per cent more likely to get in a traffic accident - up from 24 per cent in 2000.

Driving instructors were also more likely than the general population to accumulate demerit points. About 360 instructors - 6.5 per cent - collected demerit points for speeding, not wearing a seatbelt and disobeying a traffic light, he said.
