Dear friends!
Should I consider this a short note? Have you already made plans for the nearest couple of weekends? I am not even going to try to find plausible explanations for my fading organizational skills – I’ve used them all up over the past years… :) All I can do is try my best to persuade you to cancel your plans for Friday, November 2nd and to come meet with one of the greatest masters of the Russian literary scene – the poet, essayist, and journalist Lev Rubinstein...
So... On Friday (sorry guys, it was the only day available!) November 2nd, at 7:00 p.m., Lev Rubinstein will be reading at the house of my wonderful, hospitable friends Stalina and Misha. Their address is:
706 Broadview Av., Highland Park
(From N41 take Clavey east to Green Bay Rd. Turn left and go straight
three blocks to Rogers Williams Ave, turn right and immediately right
again on Broadview. It's two steps from Ravinia!)
[This link will help! – http://maps.google.com/maps]
(Just a reminder: there is road construction on I-94, northbound, so please do your best to find an alternative rout and allow more time for your trip!)
The rules are the same as always:
1) $15;
2) Bring your friends!
3) !!!!! ABSOLUTELY REQUIRED !!!! -- CHAIRS, PILLOWS, STOOLS, etc. (people, this event is going to be packed – PLEASE bring something to sit on!)
4) Absolutely not required, but will be happily consumed, as always – wine or something to munch on.
For more information (or if you are lost) call Stalina and Misha at (847) 681-8849, or me at (773) 275-0934 (home) or (773) 682-6486 (cell)
