Yep, my neighbour wanted to build a garage extension for the second car essentially over his driveway. I voted against and he did not get the planning exception he applied for.
Well, he probably would not have got it anyway since such significant planning exceptions are rarely granted, but part of the applying for exception was to collect the signatures of the close neighbours that they do not object.
Хороший сосед, мы с ним в хороших отношениях, я всегда у него tools беру попользоваться. И потом забор вместе строили. И наша кошка любит его собак. Более того, забор построен так что часть его участка оказалась присоедененной к моей территории. Но вот его гараж заслонял бы мне пол-окна в гостинной. Он понял.
