Consumers may legally purchase Everclear in Pennsylvania but must first obtain a permit to do so and agree not to drink it or furnish it to anyone else. In the United States, it is illegal to sell the 190-proof variety in California, Florida, Connecticut, Virginia, North Carolina, Washington, Minnesota, Iowa and West Virginia.
