From a basic economics point of view, this outcome makes sense. In other words, they were going to the doctor more and they were going to the ER more. Ха, до твоего вопроса я думал, что связи вообще никакой нет, потому что в Америке assurance - это услуги по внешнему аудиту бухгалтерского учета: Артур Андерсен (блаженной памяти) и KPMG. Но, посмотрев в википедию (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Assurance), в Великобритании это как раз страховка жизни (из объяснения, вроде, следует, что слово assurance используется в том смысле, что точно когда-нибудь помрешь), плюс пара эзотерических значений.
