Until recently, Toyota had such a hot commodity in the Prius hybrid that most dealers had waiting lists of two to three months for the fuel-efficient car.

Now, Toyota is offering incentives for the first time to move its gas/electric-engine models off the lot.

The change in sales momentum reflects how the popularity of hybrids remains tied very closely to the price of gasoline, rather than a broad change in the public mind-set about what kinds of cars, and engines, people desire.

Точно, надо повысить налог на нефть, а то и с доплатой брать не будут

Ну помимо цен на бензин, у Приуса появились и конкуренты, которых раньше не было.
К которым относится и пoявление гибридного тойотовского флагмана - Камри.

Мой прошлый начальник ездил на гибридном лексусе, уже пару лет назад, тоже был страшно доволен.
