birdwatcherOne of the most arresting political cartoons I have seen in recent years was by my old friend Jim Morin, at the Miami Herald. It was of a long line of headstones, disappearing into the horizon to the right. Each headstone said "He died so HE did not die in vain," and each stone had an arrow pointing to the right.
