In the UK they can be seen on the south coast almost every year in varying numbers where they regularly breed. Occurrence in the rest of the UK varies considreably from year to year.

[...] I was never very happy with how the CPU scheduler tackled interactivity but at least it was now usable on the desktop. [...] Not being happy with how the actual underlying mechanism worked I set out to redesign that myself from scratch, and the second generation of the -ck patchset was born. This time it was mostly my own code.
