The latest police-state actions [in Germany] follow by only weeks a recent ruling from the European Human Rights Court that affirmed the German nation's ban on homeschooling.
The court's ruling said that schools represent society, and "it was in the children's interest to become part of that society.
"The parents' right to education did not go as far as to deprive their children of that experience," the ruling said.
Да, это Европа. Это культура.
UPDATE
Документ:
The court noted that the State’s obligation to educate would also further the children’s interests and served the protection of their personal rights. Because of their young age, the applicant children were unable to foresee the consequences of their parents’ decision for home education. Therefore, they could hardly be expected to take an autonomous decision for themselves. Moreover, the applicant parents’ right to educate their children would not be undermined by compulsory school attendance as the parents could educate their children before and after school as well as at weekends.
