I am not sure what you mean?

I see antiabortionists and death penalty proponents as authoritarian (in the sense that "those who are in charge" have the power to decide who lives and who dies and when).
And the other group is protecting rights and freedoms (civil rights, rights of parents, religious rights, etc.)

Or antiabortionists and death-penalty people are those who believe in god's, not human, supremacy in life and death matters (and also believe they have a reliable guidance in the question of divine opinions), and others are motley crowd.
