Well, she was below the consent age, which in GA is 16, according to the article. Are you arguing for bringing it lower - 15, 14, 13, 12 ?

Well, the laws are often imbalanced - the boy thak kills adult will be punished much more lightly than adult that kills a boy. What you are arguing is different age limits for boys and girls. Sure, makes sense.

BTW, some states have close in age exception, so I am not convinced that abstinence is a driver for these laws. But I don't claim knowledge.

Yes. 14 makes much more sense. At least when the partner is under 18.

This is not what I am talking about. I am talking about a very specific assertion: he understands what he is doing when he is having sex.
